GCCI business awards

The Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has once again concluded a successful Business Awards Dinner on 06 May 2016, held at the Ocean Bay Hotel. The event brought together investors, entrepreneurs, government officials and members of GCCI. Many businesses and entrepreneurs were also presented with awards at the events.

Congratulation to management and staff of all the nominees and winners of various awards; particularly the Young Entrepreneur of the year category.

Young Entrepreneur of the Year

Leading Business of the Year Award:

Corporate Social Responsibility Business of the Year:

Gamcel won the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Business of the Year 2016

Financial Institutions Supporting SMES:

The nominees were:

Reliance Financial Services won the Financial Institution Supporting SMES.

In his remarks on the occasion, the Guest Speaker, Mustapha Njie spoke on the theme African Entrepreneurs – “The Challenge of Globalization”. He emphasized passion, perseverance, apprenticeship and learning, hard work, reputation, competitiveness and other virtues as key to achieving a successful business in this day and age.
