  1. This looks an interesting opportunity for my new enterprise called Grassroots Business Initiatives which offers private sector extension and business advisory services to rural and peri urban farming and income generating activities. The services offered by GBI will enable farmers to embrace farming from a business perspective rather than the usual traditional subsistence farming. In this business model clients pay for the services such as: training in entrepreneurship, horticulture, cooperative group management. GBI in addition offers the following services: bussiness and strategy planning, market brokering for agricultural producta, and field extension. This is a completely new approach to business and rural/community development. I believe this is a more sustainable approach to development as opposed to the conventional unending free handouts for community development. GBI promotes farming as a business concept and develops a business mind for its clients.

    • Excellent business model with huge potential to support agricultural development. This foundation also seems to be interested in Agriculture sector. I think you should plan and apply for their seed funding.
