Partnership in Employment (PiE) and Young Entrepreneurs Association (YEA) are set to hold the 1st edition of the Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (YES) + Job fair in the Gambia from 26th – 27th October 2016. This two-day event is scheduled to take place at the Djembe and Djeliba Hotels and is expected to bring together successful and aspiring entrepreneurs, students, young professionals, policy makers and investors to promote entrepreneurship and professional development in the country.
The Youth Entrepreneurship Summit (YES) + Job Fair is initiated for the purpose of empowering entrepreneurs and young career professionals in the Gambia and that is why the organizers picked the theme for this year’s summit as “Uniting Talent with Opportunities”.
The summit is expected to boost economic activities by providing networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, career discussions and other talent development ideas. YESGambia 2016 will include a wide range of educational and hands-on activities including: CEO Roundtable, Business Bantaba, Job Fair, panel sessions with Industry Experts, company presentations etc.
This summit will not only inspire our Gambian youths, but will unleash positive socio-economic development said Alieu Jallow, Founder of YEA.
Registration and Exhibition
The Summit will provide an opportunity for startups and established businesses to showcase their ideas, products and services to investors and the general public. YESGambia aims to discover innovators from all over the country, and provide a platform for them to access critical mentoring and finance to grow their business.
